Case Study 2 – Needlecraft Express – E Commerce Site

The Customer

Gary and Jane Laywood have run a successful business for several years supplying all kinds of Needlecraft kits, threads, fabrics and accessories, they also offer a high quality picture framing service.

In 2008 the opportunity came to move into larger high street retail premises and to expand the needlecraft shop and picture framing with a new state of the art website.

The Requirement

Gary had no illusions as to what was required to move into the new premises and he knew they needed to buy the specialised machinery and equipment for the picture framing department.

However he identified the most important sales and marketing tool to be a sophisticated E-Commerce site and to expand sales with professional optimisation services to keep him in front of the competition.

The Solution

The machinery was funded by a conventional hire purchase agreement but very few funders will provide finance for an expensive E-commerce site.

That’s where our flexible finance system came to the rescue, we have funders who will finance websites and e-commerce sites just as though they were traditional assets.
